Our History: Over A Century Of Legal Advocacy

In 1913, Walter J. Donovan, a native of Berkshire County, began his law practice in Adams, Massachusetts. He was joined by J. Norman O’Connor Sr. in 1954, and soon thereafter, the firm changed its name to Donovan & O’Connor. The firm grew over the years to serve all of western Massachusetts and southern Vermont, as well as portions of eastern New York. Donovan & O’Connor opened its Bennington, Vermont, office in 1996 and, in 2003, relocated its main office to the MASS MoCA complex in North Adams, Massachusetts. In 2009, the firm opened a third office in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and more recently opened a small office in Springfield. In 2016, the firm added a third named partner, changing its name to Donovan O'Connor & Dodig, LLP.

Continuing A Legacy Of Service

Today, Donovan O'Connor & Dodig, LLP, is listed among the top law offices in Massachusetts and consists of 16 attorneys and 16 support staff, including six paralegals. Our attorneys practice in both state and federal courts and are admitted to the bars of Massachusetts, Vermont and New York.

Although the firm has expanded over the years, Donovan O'Connor & Dodig, LLP, has always had one simple goal: to serve our clients.
