Attorney Buffy D. Lord was appointed as a trustee of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts by Governor Deval Patrick. Trustees serve 5 year terms and are eligible for one reappointment.
Attorney Lord is an alumna MCLA located in North Adams, Massachusetts. Being an alumni makes her appointment all the more meaningful. Since her graduation from MCLA, Attorney Lord has been very active at the school. She is currently is on the MCLA Foundation Board and previously served on the board of the MCLA Alumni Association. In addition, Attorney Lord was an adjunct professor in the History and Political Science department from 2008 to 2010.
After graduating from MCLA, Attorney Lord attended Pepperdine University, graduating in 2003. She grew up in Berkshire County and serving the residents of the area is important to her. She volunteers with various local organizations and is listed on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ list of Unsung Heroines for 2010. Attorney Lord is licensed in both Vermont and Massachusetts. Her legal practice includes family law and worker’s compensation, but focuses on representing injured individuals in serious personal injury cases.
