In 1912 Walter J. Donovan began a general practice of law in Adams, Massachusetts. He was joined by J. Norman O'Connor in 1954, and soon after began the partnership of Donovan & O'Connor. Today the firm, listed among the top law offices in Massachusetts, consists of ten partners, three of counsel, six associates, and over fifteen support staff including four paralegals.

Having grown over the years into larger quarters equipped with advanced legal technologies, the firm has its main office in North Adams with another office in Bennington, Vermont, while serving clients from throughout Western Massachusetts, Southwestern Vermont and Eastern New York. Our attorneys practice in both state and federal courts, and are admitted to the bars of Massachusetts, Vermont and New York.
